Below are the important guidelines and policies issued by CBSE to ensure quality education and continuous improvement in schools.

  • All schools must regularly visit the CBSE website for updates on policies and schemes including SQAA.
  • Schools should apply for accreditation within a maximum period of three years.
  • Schools must refer to the CBSE website for updated list of empanelled agencies.
  • Schools must maintain a website with an โ€œAccreditation Cornerโ€.
  • Mandatory Disclosure Form should be uploaded on school website.
  • Schools must update their data regularly on CBSE portal.
  • Schools should form a School Assessment Committee (SAC).
  • Accreditation process must be approved by the Management Committee.
  • Schools must submit the โ€œForm of Intentโ€ to CBSE.
  • Agency confirmation should be received within 2โ€“3 weeks.
  • Schools must submit online SQAA instruments after approval.
  • Minimum score of 50 is required to qualify for PAT visit.
  • Schools must coordinate infrastructure and documents during inspection.
  • Schools should treat PAT visit as a learning experience.
  • Schools receive a Quality Enhancement Report after visit.
  • Schools scoring 75%+ will be declared accredited by CBSE.
  • Accreditation validity is 3 years and requires renewal.
